		abstract={In the electric power distribution system from power plants to consumers is usually often there is fault. In this case the fault that will be discussed is the Medium Voltage Air Circuits (SUTM) is a short circuit that are temporary or permanent. PLN (Persero) Area Kediri using a surge protector rather on SUTM by using Recloser used to treat the fault and minimize the fault area.
Recloser functions to secure and minimize fault to the end. Recloser operation is almost the same as the circuit breaker is fitted with equipment that can shut down automatically after a behind the opening and closing the back.
