The stator winding of a generator is a part that is often experienced a short circuit. To maintain and improve the performance of the protection system, appropriate setting for stator winding protection relays is needed. In this paper, the author discusses about the generator differential relay (87g) and stator ground fault relay (59GN) setting on the generator stator winding unit GTG 1.1 PLTGU Muara Karang. The configuration of relays is made, so that it can work in a coordinated manner to protect the generator stator winding.} }
