It flows the fault current to the ground. The positioning of electrode embedded to the earth is one way to attain a lower value of grounding resistance. To find out the value of grounding resistance, measurement is required. The soil condition is one of elements which should be considered in a measurement of grounding system. Whether in a dry or humid condition will affect to the value of the resistivity itself. The current flows through the earth barely because of electrolysis process. Hence, the amount of water in soil will affect to conductivity of the soil itself.
