(PLN Statistics 2008). To meet the needs of the Java-Bali electricity system forward, most of which will be supplied with coal-fired power plant planned to be built mostly on Sumatra Island South (mine mouth power plant). There is now a distribution of electrical energy technology with Transmission HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), which technically can transmit electrical energy in a large capacity and long distance. By doing so, we no longer have to build power plants near load centers (Java), and makes it possible to build a mine mouth power plant (Sumatra or Kalimantan) and transmits electrical energy to Java. So it only takes one time investment in the beginning just to build the Transmission Network and can operate for 30 years simply by issuing operational costs. There are several packages that must be done to complete the project, including the first packet is convertor station and inverter in Muara Enim and Bogor Regency.
