Tap changer is a complete distribution transformer which allows the transformer winding ratio variation have to get a certain secondary voltage when the primary voltage change. Usually tap changer placed side high voltage (primary winding) of the transformer due consideration of the current lower and variations in voltage wider, so that the quality of service voltage must match the voltage quality desired to meet customer needs for increases and decreases in voltage can damage electrical equipment customers and voltage conditions that do not fit to the lead position of tap changer can reduce the operating life of distribution transformers.
