		abstract={Dam construction is a building that used to contain the water and to raise the water level. Dams have a variety of functions, one of which is as a support for the Hydroelectric Power Plant. Batang Kuantan river has a hydropower potential of adequate and can be maximized with the construction of the dam. In writing this essay will be planning to determine the type of dam, the height of the dam and storage capacity. Type of dams is urugan dams. high dams is planned in this essay is 50 m, and with maximum storage capacity is 27,931,498.55 m3. The optimum capacity of the electrical energy generated from the planning of the dam on the Batang Kuantan river  is 6474.6 KW or 6,475 MW.}
