In the operation of an electric power system, one of the most important problems is stability, it causes oscillation in the generator. Poor system response can cause oscillations in a long period of time, so that it can cause the generator to go out of sync. To overcome this, the generator requires an additional controller that Power System Stabilizer (PSS). PSS is a device that produces a control signal to be fed to the excitation system, thus improving the stability of the excitation system by regulating the synchronous generator rotor excitation performance. The main parameters found in PSS are gain, and lead-lag time constant. To determine the optimal parameters of the power system stabilizer simulation using matlab software by modeling a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) then tuned using the help of a Bode Diagram that will compensate for the excitation system phase, so it can reduce the oscillation of the system. In the parameters T1 = T3 = 1,449, T2 = T4 = 0,02, dan KPSS = 8,7 PSS managed to reduce the oscillation frequency, rotor angle, and active power well.} }
