Therefore, the ship is a means of inter-island transportation specifically something about cargo. Equipments on the ship must works optimal, spesifically for equipment that supports navigation and communication systems. Equipments in navigation and communication systems consisting of Automatic Identification System (AIS), marine radar, navigation of satellite ship, and marine radio. All of the equipments have a charge about 54.24 kWh, so that these equipments should be fed by a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). The benefit of implementing PLTS are decrease consumption of generator fuel and also decrease exhaust emmision. This study used analysis method in technical and economical to plan PLTS system as a resource of navigation and communication systems using cargo ship Omarasheed as an object. In approving Off-Grid PLTS, an area of 78 m2 with 40 solar panels arranged in 5 series and 8 parallel is needed.} }
