Operating system of generator is continuous with a certain load, it needs to be monitored by using the capability curve so that the generator works efficiently. There are operational limits for generators must be calculated in the capability curve that are generator power limits, stator current limits, rotor current limits, and steady state stability limits. After the limitations are obtained, it can form a capability curve using the software Matrix Laboratory (Matlab). The synchronous generator unit of three Gunung Salak geothermal power plants still works safely even though it is overloaded by the active power limit specified on the capability curve of 60 MW. The reactive power produced is relatively small so that the apparent power generated does not exceed the apparent power limit specified on the capability curve of 68.75 MVA. This is based on simulations using Matrix Laboratory (Matlab) programming with a maximum loading that occurred in January 2018 of 60.6840 MW with 2.6852 MVAR where the load plot is outside the active power limit in lagging conditions. In the loading that occurred on June 17, 2018 amounted to 57.5400 MW with -0.3920 MVAR, the generator work point is within the safe limit of the capability curve that works on leading conditions.} }
