Each gendang has a kind of diverse and different sounds. Limitations to own and play different types of drum hampered by several factors such as cost, location and time. Starting from these problems, this research will discuss the Arduino-based prototype electric gendang with applications using Visual Basic tone recorder that can record and produce a wide variety of sounds in one gendang. Some types of gendang sound with mp3 format can be played with a media gendang electrically. The method used in performing design is a prototype method. The electric gendang is built using the Arduino UNO board ATmega328 microcontroller based control center of all the components. Piezoelectric used as an input medium pressure every knock on the electric gendang, 16x2 LCD serves as a medium of communication between the user and the device. As well as the use of modules DFPlayer mini as a media liaison and providers of sound output to be generated. The results of this research are to create a model of Arduino-based electric gendang instrument to be able to accommodate some kind of gendang sound.} }
