This makes the basement used as parking space in buildings. In this paper, the used slab in the basement is a two-way slab, its system is the ratio between length and width is smaller than 2. In this paper, two-way type of slab that will be examined is the plate which is using drop panels and a two-way slab with beams. This study aims to determine the dimensions of a drop panel in the basement, it can compare the thickness of the plate between the slab with drop panels and slab with beams, and to determine the need for reinforcement in the slab with drop panels and a plate with beams. The used method in this paper is direct planning method. The required data are mapping of slab, dimension of column and beams, load data, and steel and concrete quality in basement. The data will be analyzed to determine the computation of load, moment computation, shear computation, drop panel dimension, slab thickness, and slab reinforcement required in slab. The result will show that slab thickness with drop panel system is thicker than slab with beam. The thickness are 200 mm, 180 mm ,and 160 mm, meanwhile the thickness slab with beams are 180 mm, 160 mm, 140 mm, 190 mm and 170 mm. The amount of reinforcement for slab with drop panel system in the x column way= pieces,2216 pieces and middle way= 1368 pieces, column way length y= 2497 pieces and the middle way= 1404 pieces D12. Meanwhile the slab with beams, the amount of reinforcement in x length = 2671 pieces, y= 2210 pieces. The amount of reinforcement in beams= 354 pieces D19, the ties in the pedestal= 1290 pieces D10 and for main area= 1715 pieces D10. Concrete volume in the slab with drop panel: slab= 374,16 m3 and drop panel= 9,6 m3. Meanwhile concrete volume in the slab with beams: slab= 312,06 m3 and beams= 164,93 m3. For slab with beams the height of between space is shorter than slab with drop panel.} }
