Normalization of fault in the conductor is expected to be carried out with the fastest time possible so that the power system returns to normal. Disturbance Fault Recorder (DFR) has the ability to record analog and digital quantities during the fault. In this study an analysis of analogue and digital DFRs was attempted to analyze the magnitude of the fault and monitor the performance of the protection system. In addition, in this study, based on DFR recorded data calculations have been carried out to further find out what happened during the fault (in this case the change in impedance during the disturbance occurs). The Fault Signature Analysis method has been used to help determine what type of fault is happening by looking at its characteristics.Two fault to the Muara Tawar - GITET Cibinong 500kV GITET transmission system were analyzed in this study. The results of the study concluded that DFR recording analysis can be used to analyze the fault more deeply and can show various weaknesses in the protection system.} }
