The reliability of electrical energy produced must be followed by quality improvements. One important component of PLTP is the transformer. Therefore, a protection system is needed to protect the transformer from interference. One of the protections used is differential relays. This relay works by comparing the incoming current with the current coming out. if there is a disturbance, this relay will order the circuit breaker (CB) to open (trip). Relay settings that are right on differential relays can be used to prevent protection failure and increase reliability. The setting used uses a method with mathematical calculations and simulations using ETAP 12.6 software to determine the occurrence of interference due to the comparison of incoming and outgoing currents. The results obtained for the value of the differential current are 0.914 A and the set current value obtained is 0.914 A on the sides of 11.8 kV and 1.827 A on the side of 150 kV.} }
