The contaminants tested were in the form of iron corrosion and insulating paper. The test was carried out by the DBV or breakdown voltage test method based on SPLN 49-1: 1982 and using the Oil Tester DPA(Discharge Parcial Arching) test equipment with IEC 60 422 2013 standard. The results of this study show that solid contaminants have an effect in the breakdown voltage value of transformer oil with the test resultdata when given iron corrosion contaminants weighing 100 mg, a penetrating voltage of 27.8 kV with a transformer reliability of 47.7% while when the contamina weight becomes 1 gram, a penetrating voltage of 14.4 kV is produced with a transformer reliability of 24.7%. In another case, when given an insulating paper contaminant weighing 100 mg, a penetrating voltage of 35.9 kV was produced with a transformer reliability of 61.6% while when the contamina weight became 1 gram, a penetrating voltage of 23.1 kV was produced with a transformer reliability of 39.6%.. therefore, the more contaminant masses given, the lower the strength of the transformeroil in withstanding high voltages.} }
