When thermovision was carried out on the Current Transformer Phase R Bay Purbalingga #2, a hotspot anomaly was found of 87.90C, therefore it needed immediate repair because it was an emergency condition. The cause of the hotspot at the connection point is that there is dirt because it is outside the room, loose connection points due to power losses, and corrosion. The consequences that will occur if this hotspot anomaly is ignored are power losses, and it is more dangerous if the conductor falls then a breakdown or disturbance can occur that affects other equipment, so this can reduce the reliability and performance of the unit. The purpose of this research is to find out how prevention efforts can be done in the event of a hotspot anomaly at a 150 kV substation. The method of visual inspection or monitoring of substation equipment that must be carried out is thermovision, then a contact resistance test is carried out in order to find out the amount of power losses that occur. Quantitative methods involving numbers or statistical analysis. By doing this research, it is possible to obtain better results of inter-phase thermovision and contact resistance testing than before the hotspot repair. The impact of the research that has been carried out is obtaining a hotspot balance between phases, minimizing power losses, and also increasing the work of a more reliable unit.} }
