Pagoda Taman Lumbini which is located in the highlands at an altitude of 1300 mdpl with a building height of 46.8 m is place of worship that also contains a natural park with a land area of up to 30,000 m2 based on PUIPP, NFPA, and NFC 17-120 standards included in the building. with the level of protection needs level I, which means it really needs a safety system. In this building, external lightning protection has been installed with the type of Evo Franklin type 150 which in the calculation with the Protective Angle method has been able to protect the entire building area with a protection area of 85140.75 m2. But besides that, for the results of grounding at the Taman Lumbini Pagoda it is very high, namely at 11 ohms for measurement and 17.32 ohms for calculations which are not in accordance with the PUIL 2000 standard, which is a maximum of 5 ohms, so that when lightning discharges to the ground it is feared to fail and cause damage. Efforts are urgently needed to improve this, such as by changing the current of grounding electrodes with the tape electrode, in which a simulation of the calculation is carried out to obtain a value of 4.64 ohms, it could also be by changing the soil chemistry, or by embedding deeper electrodes. already exists, the result of the simulation calculation is 4.89 ohms.} }
