This study aims to obtain the best relay operating time and optimum relay coordination between the main and backup relays. To achieve this goal, 2 methods are used to determine the setting of the overcurrent relay by the conventional method and the Firefly Algorithm method, then the research results are validated in the ETAP application. The results of the two methods used are then compared between the operating time of the relay and coordination between relays, with the results that the relay can work well but after using the Firefly algorithm method, relay coordination can be more optimum because the determination of the right parameters in the form of a Current Time Interval limit of more than 0.2 seconds and the relay operating time is more than 0.3 seconds and less than 0.9 seconds.} }
