		abstract={Expert systems have the ability to recommend an action for the user to make correct and 
actual system improvements. Expert systems can be utilized for the ability to process 
reasoning and concluding conclusions based on information and facts. The Backward 
Chaining method is a method that uses an approach to goals and is directed at goals with 
expectations about what is happening or hypotheses. The backward chaining method 
can be used to diagnose and solve computer hardware damage problems. Implementing 
computer damage using the Backward chaining method as knowledge for the 
knowledge base database. The programming language used in application testing to 
diagnose damage to computer devices is VB.Net. There are 27 Rule Backward Chaining 
to diagnose damage to the computer. The results in an application test have shown a 
percentage of 63.33%. With this application, it is hoped that the expert system with the 
Backward Chaining method can make it easier for users to diagnose damage to the 
computer.}
