Most efficiency calculations are only based on Thermodynamic first Law without considering the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to evaluate the Muara Karang power plant by using the first Law of Thermodynamics and the Second Law of Thermodynamics. By using mass, energy, and exergy equations, all components can be analyzed individually on a cycle. The results of study showed the value of energy efficiency is 31.04% and total cycle exergy efficiency is 29.28%. Boiler has the biggest source of exergy destruction with 52,016.19 kJ/s and the energy efficiency 56.73% and exergy 90.08%, it cause by air temperature one of factor to increase destruction of exergy during combustion.} }
