There is a difference in boiler efficiency between coal combustion using theoretical air and actual air in Banten 3 Lontar steam power plant. In theoretical air, coal is burned by using air according to parameters in the boiler. While in actual combustion, the value of excess air supply used in the combustion process in the furnace varies. This certainly affects the boiler efficiency. Burning with a high excess air value is not always good for boiler efficiency, there are limitations that need to be considered for this excess air supply, because more excess air values can cause higher losses. In this research, the author compares combustion process with theoretical air and actual air that is different. The results show that combustion of coal using 27.12% excess air has the highest boiler efficiency that is 86.3076% while combustion with 29.63% excess air has efficiency the lowest boiler that is 83.9343%. The coal used in this case is the same as the calorific value of 4656kcal / kg.} }
