		abstract={In the PLTU there is an important component, Sootblower. Sootblower serves to clean the flue gas in the furnace and heat exchanger elements. In Sootblowing there is a Lance Tube which serves to spray water into the furnace, at the Ombilin PLTU Lance Tube damage was found so that this study aims to determine the cause of Sootblowing Lance Tube Waterwall material damage at Ombilin PLTU. From the hardness test the hardness value is still in standard, namely 166 HB, from metallographic testing found transgranular type cracks, the SEM-EDX test found the chemical element causing corrosion and in XRD testing found there were several different elements of material standards. Of all the factors that cause failure, it can be concluded that the cause of failure is stress corrosion cracking.}
