So it is necessary to test the readiness of the transformer, one of which is by testing the BDV of transformer oil by PT PLN (Persero) UP3B Kalbar System. This research was conducted to determine the condition and quality of transformer oil as a cooling medium and dielectric breakdown resistance, to find out the follow-up based on the test results, and the influence of the variables that became the comparison factor in the BDV test using an average breakdown-voltage method. Transformer oil samples are taken from transformers with adjacent operating ages, different loads, the same capacity. There were bad results on the BDV of Trafo 2 Ngabang oil with test results of 19.8kV and 20.6kV, on Transformer 2 Kota Baru in the OLTC part with test results of 37.7kV. The factor of bad BDV results in Ngabang 2 Trafo oil is not-heating-up regularly because the transformer is in an inoperative condition which causes the oil to be moist, causing contaminants. Meanwhile, in Transformer 2 Kota Baru, the factor that makes the insulating oil bad is the ageig of the transformer which has been operation for 19 years and the trend of high loading of 17.7 MW which requires load breaking as a solution. With these results, it is necessary to replace the oil with a purification process and then retest it. After the oil replacement process was carried out, the results were obtained on Transformer 2 Ngabang for the OLTC and Maintank parts with test results of 67.8kV and 79.7kV, Transformer 2 Kota Baru for the Maintank part with results of 45 kV.} }
