From this gasification process, high temperature syngas will be produced and contain gas elements such as CH4, SO2, CO, H2O, tar and moisture (water content). To reduce this high temperature, we need a device called a gas cooler consisting of a tube filled with water fluid and a shell containing syngas fluid. In the process of circulating fluid water, circulation is needed so that the water is maintained at a temperature of 28.3 oC so that the cooling process in the gas cooler is reached. For this reason, it also requires a tool in the form of a cooling tower in the process of circulation. The designed gas cooler is expected to be able to cool the syngas temperature so that it can absorb the tar content into solids, making it easier for the purification system to capture it and in accordance with simulations in the software to be made real later on for commercial use later on.} }
