Boilers are the main component of a power plant that functions to change the water phase into a vapor phase with a certain temperature and pressure from the boiling water process needed by a steam turbine to drive a generator to produce electricity. In Banten 3 Lontar UJP PLTU uses coal as its fuel and uses diesel fuel (HSD) as its start up fuel. In the boiler there is a combustion process and heat transfer, one of the things that affects the efficiency of the boiler. Boiler efficiency is the performance capability of a boiler which is shown from the ratio of heat entering (heat input) into the system with the heat transferred or absorbed by the working fluid and heat losses that occur in the boiler. In this thesis the calculation and analysis of the efficiency of the boiler unit 3 Lontar PLTU includes analysis of the results of calculations before and after overhaul, of which the analysis will be elaborated using the direct method and the indirect method. The calculation standard used using the USA ASME PTC-4-1 Power Test Code Steam Generator Units in 2013. The calculation value of boiler efficiency before overhaul by direct method is 79.51% and after overhaul is 79.68% The increase in the number after overhaul is 0.17%. While the calculation value of boiler efficiency before overhaul with the indirect method is 81.85% and after overhaul is 82.61% The increase in the number after overhaul is 0.76%.} }
