The type of APH used is the Tri-sector, Vertical Shaft, Ljungstrom Regenerative. One of the effects of the performance of the boiler is an Air Heating device (water preheater) on the flue gas drain. This air heater (air preheater) is a device that heats the air before entering the combustion chamber. The air before entering the temperature combustion chamber is the ambient temperature. The performance of the Ljungstormbased Air Heater is to determine the workability of the Air Preheater used in the Unit by referring to the thermal conductance parameters (U) and also the number of transfer units (NTU) for working conditions based on changes in unit load during the operating period with consumption of different coal calorific values for each load. Accompanied by the calculation of the potential processing of exhaust gas energy by using the Air Heater Ljungstorm to increase the thermal efficiency of the unit. From the analysis results obtained by using the water heater is obtained increase in boiler efficiency by 2.73% at 76.76% initial efficiency after using the water heater becomes 79.49%.} }
