This study intends to find the energy contained in the Gresik power plant by using two methods, the method used is energy analysis and exergy analysis. At Gresik PLTU, there have been those who have taken research on energy using energy analysis methods to find thermal efficiency, while no one has ever taken an exergy analysis. For energy analysis, it can only find thermal efficiency in its cycle, while for exergy analysis it can be seen the loss in the system. In this study using performance test data in June 2019 for unit 3. The calculation results obtained by energy analysis with thermal efficiency of 33,22% and smaller exergy analysis that is equal to 26,59%. The overall efficiency of the per-component results obtained is greater using the exergy analysis method. The biggest damage occurred in the boiler component that is 18544,482 kJ/s.} }
