From day to day the need for electricity is increasing while the reserves of energy resources increasingly depleted. For that we need to develop alternative energy such as solar. Given Indonesia is on the equator and get a pretty good sun radiation. An example of this alternative energy development is by installing PLTS in small and medium enterprises or emerging industries. This thesis discusses the simulation of planning and comparison of the use of offshore and on-grid PLTS systems on industrial home "desma tailor convection". This convection business has a load of 22160 Wh / day and with the burden is obtained PLTS capacity of 6000 Wp. From this capacity, the comparison of design of PLTS with off and on grid system is obtained. The amount of energy produced by PLTS in this planning is 8030 kWh / year. Investment cost budget as initial capital of rooftop off-grid PLTS development is Rp.164.474.333 while investment cost of on-grid PLTS is Rp.120.530.000. The price of COE generated by off-grid PLTS is Rp. 2700 / kWh while the COE on the on-grid system is Rp.2024/ kWh. So from the design results are known that on-grid PLTS is more suitable for use in home industries.} }
