Day by day the electricity needs are increasing while the reserves of energy resources are increasingly depleting. For this reason, alternative energy such as the sun needs to be developed. Moreover, Indonesia is on the equator and getting an attractive good sunshine. One example of this alternative energy development is by installing solar power plants on electrical systems at middle-level consumers. This thesis discussed about PLTS planning as an alternative power at SMP Negeri 1 Barru. This school has 49612 Wh load each day, and with this load PLTS get 13000 Wp capacity. From the large capacity, the amount of energy obtained for the construction of on-grid rooftop PLTS is get 18615 kWh/ year by PSH ( Peak Sun Hours) of Sulawesi Selatan is 4.5 hours. Investment cost budget as initial capital of rooftop on-grid PLTS is Rp. 286.089.453. The price of COE produced by PLTS is Rp.2074 / kWh.} }
