However in its development, the government should not only focus on conventional centralized systems. If forced, it will lead to the budgetary cost swelling of PLN?s grid procurement. For this reason, more reliable and economical solutions and systems are needed, such as the concept of Listrik Kerakyatan which utilizes the use of garbage waste power plants (PLTSa). The main advantages of distributed generation model are it can be built in almost every location, and it is possible to do especially in areas that have not been electrically connected into the PLN?s grid. It is a solution to overcome the problem of waste as well, while reducing dependence on fossil fuels whose availability is running low. Based on the analysis and calculation results in this paper, the investment of the development of PLTSa 50 kVA Listrik Kerakyatan?s model with the need of JTR along 0.5 km is far more economically affordable than network development using a conventional centralized system of 25 kVA transformer capacity with JTM requirements of 11 kms and JTR of 0,5 km, both for data based on the 2017/2026 RUPTL in West Java and PT.
