To overcome the disturbances that occur, the security system is installed. In the safety system there is a power breaker (PMT) or Circuit Breaker (CB) which is a mechanical switch, which is able to close, drain and disconnect the load current under normal conditions and decide in disturbance conditions such as short circuit conditions. The appropriate PMT rating capacity is needed so that electrical energy shipments become more reliable. The results of manual rating breaking capacity PMT show that the value of short circuit fault for feeder is 10.297 kA, for fault currents in Busbar 20 kV at 11.463 kA, and for transformers at 5.985 kA. The calculation using ETAP shows that the value of short circuit fault for feeder is 10.259 kA, for fault currents in Busbar 20 kV at 11.128 kA, and for transformers at 5.017 kA. Selection of the installed PMT rating is appropriate based on the calculation of short circuit fault current. So it can be concluded that the power breaker (PMT) on the 20 kV New Bintaro Substation has fulfilled the requirements and according to needs.} }
