However, the material used for making this brick is still relatively expensive when compared to bricks that only use clay. Therefore to produce economical bricks one of the constituent materials namely cement substituted by using fly ash and carbide welding waste. The purpose of this study is to reduce the use of cement, utilization of waste, and to find out the compressive strength of the brick.The percentage of the use of fly ash and carbide welding waste on concrete brick can be divided into several variations that is 0%, 10% fly ash + 5% carbide welding waste, 10% fly ash + 10% carbide welding waste, 10% fly ash + 15% carbide welding waste. Brick dimensions are 40 x 20 x 10 cm. The highest compressive strength of brick concrete on variation 0% that is 45.463 Kg/cm2 and the lowest in variation 10% fly ash + 15% carbide welding waste that is 28.892 kg/cm2. The resulting brick has an average compressive strength III and IV. The lowest absorption value in variation 0% which was tested at 28 days that is 7,119%.} }
