System frequency shows the balance between the active power (MW) of the generation and the active power (MW) of the load demand. When a fault is experienced by IBT 500/150 kV causing the trip of the IBT, or certain condition requiring the sub-system to operate in island operation, then it results frequency decline caused by having the imbalance between the generation power and the load. To return the nominal frequency into permitted operation range, then the application Underfrequency Load Shedding containing UFR setting determination is needed. The setting is addressed to sub-system of Ngimbang. The purpose of this setting determination is to create a reliable UFR setting being able to operate on the variety of power transformer load and generation operation toward the time. This thesis is done by quantitative method which needs parameters in terms of number. According to the calculation, the setting is obtained that the first step is 49,5 Hz and 0,5 Hz/s, the second step is 49,3 Hz and 0,3 Hz/s, and the third step is 49,1 Hz and 0,1 Hz/s. The simulation results show that the proposed UFR setting is able to operate over all of the test points covering from low up to high values of power transformer load and the variety of generation operation. Therefore, protection coordination is effectively arranged.} }
