		abstract={Papua is an area in Indonesia which has low electrification ratio that is 60% rather than the other area that has around 90%. Floating Solar PV System is a system where the panels or the solar are designed to float above the water, take advantage of floater that float, as well as technique of refrigeration units of a PV naturally, System is indicated as new methods in the solar energy use of surface water available. The plants can be a solution or the right choice for the construction of energy in an area that has geographical conditions such as in Papua. In this study will be held the design of PLTS, with a capacity of 5MW with the system on the grid in the lake Sentani, Papua. then will be made in the design is ideal to the specifications of existing equipment in the market. After it's done the calculation of the fees that are done and also the power output of electricity produced. The design shows from a total area of 3304, 32 m^2 get the panels are used is the solar panels with a capacity of 250 Wp as many as 20,000 men and the inverter with a capacity of 250 kW as much as 20 pieces. The generated power is about as big as 7.256.200 the kWh/year.}
