For distribution of power system to consumer, the transformer is expected to work continuously. Incidence of fault in the transformer would damage the transformer and discontinue the distribution of power system to consumer. One of the fault can occur on the transformer is over current fault. To avoid over current fault which can damage the transformer, it must has a relay needed to protect the transformer from that fault. Over current relay is needed to protect the transformer from over current fault. There are two kind of over current relay, mechanic and microprocessor. Microprocessor relay used, because microprocessor relay has high precision than mechanic relay type, and microprocessor relay is user-friendly and simple.
