Based on its function as a supplier of electrical power, PLTGU Jawa 2 is expected to always operate in reliable conditions. Because it is newly built, the author is trying to lift this problem to assess auxiliary system that used to supply the equipment at the power station in order to operate until producing electric power which then distributed to the interconnection network. Auxiliary electricity system in PLTGU Jawa 2 is planned to be taken from output generator using Unit Auxiliary Transformer (UAT) to supply the medium voltage 6.3 kV and low voltage 400 V, to run large engines such as Fuel Gas Compressor, Cooling Water Pump, Feed Water Pump, and lighting, air conditioner, control system, measurement instrument, recharging accumulator batteries that is a source of direct current for electricity center, protection systems and so on. This needs to be planned capacity of auxiliary transformer installed based on its total load power. In order to operate reliably, a generator system should be supported with back up or Emergency Diesel Generator as emergency supplies in case of disturbance that leads to total shut down on the concerned generator. Auxiliary electricity system of power station depends on the generator?s capacity, generally can reach 3-10 % of the generator power.} }
