In supplying electrical energy, power plant tend to experience interference that causes the plant unit out of the network (outage) or can not operate optimally. Problems that occur in the generation process can disrupt the power supply in the existing system. If the power availability of the generator is not sufficient, to meet the load requirement, it will lower the electrical frequency and may even result in blackout or discharge load. The level of reliability of the generation system is measured by the Loss Of Load Probability index (LOLP). The addition of generating units is done to offset the supply of electricity is also increasing. In connection with the project of adding new power plant units in Muara Karang, it is necessary to review the probability of loss of output power from the plant using Loss of Load Probability (LOLP) index. The addition of the generating unit causes a change in the calculation of the reliability level of the system at the plant. The change in the calculation of system reliability is based on two things: the amount of power available and the magnitude of force outage hours of generating unit within one year. From the calculation results, the authors analyze that the reliability of the system getting better after the addition of PLTGU Block 3 with the assumption of average load growth of 6% each year.} }
