There is a method called GIS (Gas Insutaled Substation) . GIS is a form of the development of the Substation GIS lately is many used in electrical systems due to it is advantages compared to conventiaonal substations type. Because of that, various disturbance could still occur in the GIS compartment. It is done diagnosis to know the parameters of gas SF6 on GIS one is partial discharge. In this bachelor theses diagnosis will use the acoustic method to know the existence of partial discharge on the GIS compartment. From the results of the diagnosis with this method will be determined the condition of the GIS isolation. From the testing partial discharge on CB compartment found the value of the average PD is 0,43 pC this is the value of the GIS is good for far below the standard of CIGRE <5 pC and IEC <10 pC. And also found the value of the average PD that passes through the standard 9,61 pC. Then acted accordingly improvements to the GIS in order to return to be normal.} }
