In this study the evaluation method was carried out using data collection and data analysis methods. Data collection method consists of Oservation, Measurement, Literature Study, and Interview. Data analysis consists of building requirements for lightning protection, determining the radius of detection, and the existing condition of the lightning rod system. Evaluation results show that the Jakarta STT-PLN Building is in dire need of a lightning rod system with level IV lightning protection according to Indonesian National standards. The use of conventional lightning rods with protection angle method still requires increased protection in the form of 8 rods and adding rod lengths. the lightning rod is 28 meters, and the entire Conductor supply and earthinstalled termination system meets Indonesian National standards where the grounding resistance does not exceed 5 ohms. The more effective lightning rod repairs are improvements by increasing the amount of finial because the number of lightning strikes that occur is getting smaller, namely by increasing the amount of finial as much as 8 pieces, then the number of lightning strikes that occur becomes 0.54 strike / year.} }
