This research generate a method which is used in capture tidal and calculating estimated potential power that can be resulted by taking two different object locations. Tidal electrical power plant (tidal energy) transform the tidal energy volume become electricity using turbine and generator. The potential energy contains in different tidal used to move water turbine and if this turbine connected with generator, it will produces electricity. The methodology used to examine this research are single pool with dual cycle system wthout pump and also a concept with pump. The tidal height in Bagansiapiapi is assumed 5 meter and in Prigi bay is estimated 2,3 meter. The calculation result revelaed that the estimated potential of electrical power that can be produce in Bagansiapiapi is 36,84 MW with the total pool area of 26 km2. The estimated potential power produced in Prigi bay is 3,42 MW with total area of 11 km2. However, the electrical power produce using pumping concet is bigger, which is around 19% - 20%.} }
