		abstract={The development of information technology and communication currently provide facilities for people to access information system. Currently, PT. PLN Medan still use manual way to manage electrical loads. So the SMS data processing to be long and ineffective. Therefore, to improve the effectiveness data processing required an IT-based system that can automatically perform data processing. It can be achieved by using Gammu SMS Gateway. In this paper the goal is to create a concept of storage applications and electrical load calculations based SMS Gateway using the prototype. The reason to use prototype method due to good communication between the author and the user, so I can work better determine customer needs. Generally an SMS Gateway application using the modem is used as a medium to send and receive SMS. One of the many basic texts mechanism in mobile communication technology using short text messaging service can be used to access information on PT. PLN. The results of this concept, customers simply send the data usage via SMS it will automatically saved and responded immediately. This application is expected to be implemented and provide convenience for customers because it is more practical, convenient and efficient in conveying information}
