According to the RUPTL in 2017 to 2026, the projected growth of the energy demand is 7,5 % per year. With increasing demand for electrical power, the provision of electrical power must be improved immediately with the development and expansion of the system. In order to cope with this problem new lines could be installed. However, Installation of new transmission lines is very costly and not enough time to built new lines. So the best solution is voltage uprating of existing transmission lines on the Depok subsystem. In this thesis, voltage uprating on the 70 kV Cawang lama ? Depok baru overhead line are presented and analyzed. This analysis is based on the result of electrical load forecasting uses historical data as reference input on load forecasting method. There are 3 methods used to produce an accurate load forecasting and precision. From the analysis and evaluation results of the system, it is known that for the same power transmission, the current on the transmission line after uprating becomes smaller than before so that the losses in the transmission line is reduced. In addition to technical aspects, in this thesis is also presented about the economic aspects such as a calculation of losses per kWh in rupiah, investment costs and payback period.} }
