One way to utilize solar energy is to convert it into electrical energy using a PV module or solar module called a solar power plant (PLTS). The utilization of solar energy as a power plant is fast developing, but there is no standard related to the construction of PLTS in Indonesia. Lately, the basic electricity tariffs continue to increase, so for energy savings and the cost of electricity tariffs, then the construction of solar power plants (PLTS) is one of the right choices. PLTS development can be applied to unused empty land. In designing the PLTS on unused empty land, it requires an accurate calculation to determine the ideal photovoltaic system. In this plan, calculation is done for the needs of the lamp usage load (lighting) used in the building of 4312Wh per day. Characteristics of solar module is used with a capacity of 200Wp and an inverter with a power capacity of 1 kW. With an annual load of 2424.33 Kwh / Years, performance ratio (PR) of 77% means that solar power plant is feasible for use in the building and initial investment cost of Rp. 33.450.000. Planning of the installation of the PLTS in the building can be seen that the return of the initial investment cost will be recovered within 7.9 years. If each installed component has met the specifications, then the PLTS system will be able to supply the power needed for lighting on the building.} }
