		abstract={On the housing estate of Griya Permata Cengkareng, there is a land that has a type of swamp land that allows the housing to be built on top of it. Swamp land has a soft texture and has a high moisture content so that the swamp land does not meet the requirements to support the structure above. This study uses rubbing ash and glass powder as a mixture, with variations in the percentage of rubbing ash 0%, 10%, 15%, 20% and the percentage of glass powder 10% from the weight of the original soil sample, obtained the optimum percentage value of adding rubbing ash and glass powder is on the ground with a mixture of 10% rub ash and 10% glass powders. Where is the value of water content 52,7515%, specific grafity 2,0833, liquid limit 47,4125%, plastic limit 32,5962%, plasticity index 14,8163%, shrinkage limit 3,4409%, cohesion 0,0739 kg/cm2, and shear angle value 05o45?21,5?. From the results of this study the use of rubbing ash and glass powder as a soll improvement material was able to improve conditions of soil physical properties, but it does not significantly affect the mechanical properties of swamp soil.}
