For GIS using SF6 isolation such as GIS ketapang and gedung pulo then partial discharge will occur along with increasing age and some other factors that influence the such isolation. Based on the results of tests conducted on GIS ketapang and GIS gedung pola, in obtaining PD value under the value of CIGRE (<5 mV), so it can be concluded GIS ketapang and GIS gedung pulo is still in good condition. Partial discharge produces three forms of energy : electromagnetic, acoustic, and gas. Therefore One way of identifying and knowing the location or location of the partial discharge on SF6 isolation in GIS is by using the AE (Acoustic Emission) method of Acoustic Insulation Analyzer (AIA). Using the tool can be known whether the SF6 isolation and GIS equipment is still feasible to use or not} }
