In order to accommodate this growth, renewable power plants are needed according to Permen ESDM No.12/2017 regarding the Utilization of Renewable Energy for Electrical Power Generation and PP No. /2006 regarding the National Energy Policy. Besides, the private sector can also benefit from the development of biomass power plants adjusted to the available local resources in Kalimantan, especially in South Kalimantan. In order to enforce the government?s policy, PT. PLN has already created a work plan for the supplying of electrical power (RUPTL). In South Kalimantan, economic growth reaches 4.7% from 2017 to 2026. This growth is predicted to cause an increase in load, so in order to accommodate it, a biomass power plant will be added to GI Satui. This paper evaluates the effects of the operation of biomass power plant on load flow, voltage, and short circuit. The purpose of the evaluation is to understand the effects caused by the power plant on the electrical system of GI Satui, the ability of GI Satui to receive power from the biomass power plant, whether or not the power generated by the biomass power plant will be received, and the capacity of transformators in GI.} }
