Therefore, a reliable shielding system is required in order to protect substation?s equipment from direct stroke. Electrogeometric Model(EGM) is one of several shielding system modeling that is considered reliable. It is also a standard modeling to design a shielding system in power system structures such as, transmission lines, distributions, and subtations. In this research, Revised EGM is being used to analyze the shielding system installed in Gandul EHV substation. Despite of the existance of 15.48% hazardous stroke current, shielding system of Gandul EHV is considered reliable due to the length of expected period between equipment failure due to lightning stroke, which is 1637 years.} }
