The research aim to remove the concentration remazol red of dyes and COD of batik liquid waste by tamarindus indica seeds coagulant and humic acid adsorbent. The characterization tamarindus indica seeds and humic acid by FTIR. Determination of the optimum pH of coagulant was studied in pH 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and adsorption in pH 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Determination of the effectiveness of the method by method variations coagulation, adsorption, and the combination of coagulation-adsorption. Research result characterization of tamarindus indica seeds before and after coagulation showed the chemical shift of –OH, NH2, the presences of new peak at wavenumber 3749,62 cm-1, and chemical shift of alkyl halides can be concluded that remazol red was electrostatically attached on the positively charged tamarindus indica seeds surface. The characterization of humic acid before and after adsorption showed the chemical shift of –OH, C=O, and C-O can be concluded that remazol red was electrostatically attached on the positively charged humic acid surface. Optimum pH of coagulation in pH 3 with 68,26% efficiency and Optimum pH of adsorption in pH 2 with 68,93% efficiency. Efficiency of coagulation, adsorption, and coagulation-adsorption to remove concentration of dyes 68,26 %, 71,89%, 77,27 % and remove COD from batik liquid waste 97,94 %, 98,20 %, 99,04%. From this discussion, it can be concluded that application tamarindus indica seeds coagulant and humic acid adsorbent can be remove concentration of remazol red and COD.} }
