		abstract={This study aims to examine the effect of ownership structure, corporate governance, bank risk and bank size on profitability in Islamic banks in Indonesia which is proxied by Return On Equity. The ownership structure in this study consists of foreign ownership and private ownership, corporate governance in terms of the number of commissioners, bank risk as a proxy for Non-Performing Financing and bank size in terms of total assets. The data collection technique is Purposive Sampling. This study used a sample of 11 Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia from 2014 to 2020. Based on statistical tests using SPSS 25 and the results of multiple linear regression tests indicate that private ownership and bank size have a significant positive effect on profitability, bank risk has a significant negative effect on profitability, while foreign ownership has no significant negative effect and corporate governance has no significant positive effect on profitability in Islamic banks in Indonesia.
