Currently the Bengkalis State Polytechnic is growing rapidly, this is indicated by the increasing number of students studying at the Polytechnic. The Rusunawa Building is a facility owned by the Bengkalis State Polytechnic which is intended for student accommodation. In the previous planning the Rusunawa Building used the old SNI, namely SNI 1726:2012 (earthquake resistance) and SNI 2847:2013 (structural requirements for buildings), the SNI used in the previous planning was too long and certainly there were still many shortcomings, therefore this building will be re-planned using the latest SNI, namely SNI 1727:2019 (earthquake resistance) SNI 2847:2019 (structural requirements for buildings) on beam and column structures. The modeling of the Rusunawa Building at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic was analyzed using the ETABS and for the planning of reinforcement in beams and columns analyzed using the Special Moment Resistant Frame System (SRPMK). Based on the calculation results obtained a comparison between the initial planning and the new plan, in the initial planning of the exterior beam using dimensions of 250 × 450 mm2 with reinforcement in the support area 4D16 and stirrups D10-100 mm, for the field area using reinforcement 2D16 with stirrups D10-150 mm. While in the new design, the exterior beams use dimensions of 250 × 450 mm2 with reinforcement in the support area 3D16 and stirrups D10-90 mm, for the field area using reinforcement 2D16 with stirrups D10-125 mm. As for the column, in the initial planning column 1 used dimensions of 300 × 400 mm2 with the main reinforcement using 10D16 and stirrup reinforcement D10-100 mm. While in the new plan, column 1 uses dimensions of 400 × 400 mm2 with the main reinforcement using 12D16 and 3D10-100 mm stirrups.} }
