The purpose of repairing the toyota kijang pick-up car body is to restore the damaged body shape to its original shape before the damage occurred. Thus increasing the aesthetic value of the car after the repair process is carried out to protect the car body from damage due to external influences such as heat, rain and rust. Body repairs are carried out using the hammer on dolly technique to overcome the damaged body. To repair the cabin floor plate and tailgate that is experiencing deterioration by using two different welding joints, namely SMAW and OAW according to the function used. The results of after welding the repair of the floor plate, a tensile test is carried out. From these tests, it can be seen that the strength of SMAW welding joints has a tensile strength of 773.7 N/mm² and a strain of 1.6% and OAW has a tensile strength of 701.5 N/mm² and a strain of 2%. it can be concluded that the tensile strength of the SMAW joint is stronger than the OAW welding joint, besides that the function and usability of the welding method has its own advantages and disadvantages .
